Maja Salvador and Zanjoe Marudo plays best friends turned lovers in To Love Some Buddy

After the success of Exes Baggage, Black Sheep is gearing up to release their latest offering, To Love Some Buddy, a buddy romantic comedy starring Maja Salvador and Zanjoe Marudo.

Director Jason Paul Laxamana directs the film from his own script, creating a fresh spin on the best friend-turned-lovers story. Laxamana reunites with Marudo after working together in The Third Party and pairs him up with award-winning actress Maja Salvador for the first time on the big screen.

In To Love Some Buddy, Maja Salvador plays Faith, a hardworking marketing professional
who has an unlucky streak in romance. After over a decade of not seeing each other, she
reaches out to her college classmate Julius, an aspiring musician played by Zanjoe Marudo. After an awkward situation brings them together, the two hit it off and an unlikely friendship blooms.

As their friendship gets deeper, so does their feelings for each other - leading them to
try being a couple. But their friendship will be tested by the expectations and problems that come with a relationship. Faith and Julius would journey to understanding that sometimes, choosing to commit to someone is also choosing to grow.

Black Sheep and Director Jason Paul Laxamana aim to create a different type of rom-com to audiences everywhere. To Love Some Buddy is an anatomy of how friends turn into lovers-the mistakes that we do and the lessons we learn from it. Will things work out for Faith and Julius once they take their relationship to the next level or is being in a relationship too much for two best friends to handle? Find out what's in store for these two close buddies in To Love Some Buddy.

The film also stars Donny Pangilinan and Phoebe Walker.

To Love Some Buddy opens in cinemas in the Philippines starting October 31, 2018.
