Yeng Guiao for 1st District Congressman of Pampanga

Bloggers had a chance to interview the Head Coach of NLEX Road Warriors last Monday, April 1, 2019. He is Yeng Guiao, who is also the coach of ‘Gilas’ our own Philippine National Basketball Team. 

Coach Yeng told us that he’s currently in 2 and 1/2 years in coaching the Gilas. He’s happy to announce that our country is competing in the World Cup on August this year. And to sum it up he’s coaching for 30 years already.

Yeng Guiao, is also loaded with schedules this year, aside from Basketball coaching he will run in the upcoming May 2019 election. He’s running for a Congressman post in the 1st District of Pampanga. 

He was also the Vice Governor of the Province of Pampanga from 2004 to 2013, serving three different Governors, Mark Lapid, Ed Panlillo and Lilia Pineda. He is a former congressman, representing the 1st District of Pampanga from 2013 to 2016.

Coach Yeng, emphasises his advocacy in Health, Education and Sports when he enters the Congress again. He also gave us what’s the status of the upcoming SEA Games 2019 that will be held in our country this year. He said that the Sports Stadium in Pampanga are almost ready. 

Two of the NLEX Road Warriors players, Asi Taulava and Kieffer Ravena are also in the event to support their Head Coach. But, Coach Yeng will not allowed the players to join in his campaign rally as of the moment as they need to focus in their games and aiming to clinch a final stint in the PBA.
