i-CHARJ ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING HUB OPENS IN VALENZUELA CITY TO SUPPORT CLEAN TRANSPORTATION
Xcellcoms Enterprises, a leading innovator widely regarded as an architect of the electric era, is the company behind the opening of the pioneering I-CHARJ Electric Vehicle Charging Hub, located at Km.17 Drive and Dine NLEX, Barangay Canumay, Valenzuela City.
“After 20 fruitful years in the cellphone charging business, we are proud to launch this new i-charj electric vehicle charging hub, which marks a significant milestone in our commitment to building a more accessible and sustainable energy infrastructure,” said Engineer Aquilino Tubigan Jr., Chairman of i-charj Corp and the recipient of the Gold Medal for Telecommunications at the 2008 International New Product Expo (INPEX) in Pennsylvania USA. He was honored by Malacañang and by The House of Representatives for his major international achievement and was given a significant funding boost by DOST.
Engineer Tubigan continued:
“As more people recognize the importance and value of electric vehicles, this newly opened charging station represents more than just an expansion of i-charj’s services and charging network. It also reflects our commitment to broader environmental goals—reducing carbon emissions and supporting the transition toward a cleaner and more electrified transport ecosystem.”
Behind this milestone is Tubigan , a quiet visionary, innovator, and realist who pioneered the development and nationwide deployment of coin-operated charging systems. He holds the official invention patent for this technology. The chargers now commonly used by the public across a leading convenience store chain are among his innovations—practical inventions that have become part of everyday life.
Today, that same spirit of innovation takes another major step forward.
The pioneering i- charj Electric Vehicle Charging Hub is now officially open and ready to serve the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
