B.LEAGUE FINAL WEEK in MANILA 2026 kicks off with massive surprise for Filipino fans
MANILA, Philippines — The B.LEAGUE FINAL WEEK in MANILA2026 officially kicked off on Thursday, May 21, bringing basketball fever to the Mega Fashion Hall at SM Megamall, along with an exciting announcement for all Filipino basketball fans.
This year’s festivities coincide with the 10th-anniversary celebration of the B.LEAGUE. Day 1 started strong with the official opening press conference led by B.LEAGUE Executive Officer Naoya Okamoto and LEVANGA HOKKAIDO star Dwight Ramos.
To mark this milestone, B.LEAGUE officially announced its first-ever MANILA GAMES in MANILA 2026 this coming September, bringing the signature high-level B.LEAGUE action live in the country.
Expecting to deliver a "unique, soul-stirring frenzy” experience, the upcoming games aim to fuse top-tier play with live sports entertainment. The two B.LEAGUE preseason games will take place on September 9 and 10 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, and will feature a match-up between LEVANGA HOKKAIDO and the GUNMA CRANE THUNDERS, showcasing basketball excellence and bringing the theme "TWO NATIONS, ONE BEAT" to life.
The upcoming September games are made possible with the support of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines. Ticket sales are expected to start by mid-June.
Back to the B.LEAGUE FINAL WEEK in MANILA 2026 festivities, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. also added undeniable star power to Day 1, leading the court action during the B.Hope ASIA 1on1 CHALLENGE 2026 supported by Meiji. Next-generation players, who successfully advanced through the qualifying rounds, competed fiercely for the 1-on-1 championship title.
